Defendant appeals from an involuntary commitment order. ORS 426.130. He asserts that he was denied due process and that he is not mentally ill. ORS 426.005(2). We review de novo, State v. O’Neill, 274 Or 59, 61, 545 P2d 97 (1976), and affirm.
On May 17, 1989, 2 of defendant’s friends filed a notification that they believed that he was mentally ill. See ORS 426.070(1). They reported that he was delusional and had threatened to kill them, his psychiatrist, his estranged wife and her attorney.
