The action is grounded upon a collision between a motorcycle driven by the plaintiff and an automobile owned by one Albert Wirry, but operated at the time of the accident by Carbonneau, hereinafter called the “defendant.” The collision occurred on October 5, 1935, at about 11:30 o’clock in the forenoon. Shortly before the accident the *531automobile was being driven in a westerly direction on Spring street in the city of Racine. The collision occurred near the westerly city limits.
