INGRAHAM, Circuit Judge.

This labor dispute involves an unfair labor practice charge against the employer arising from the discharge of an employee who, in response to the employer’s offer of milder punishment and after consultation with a union representative, threatened to present a grievance. The administrative law judge found that the employer violated § 8(a)(1) of the National Labor Relations Act, 29 U.S.C. § 158(a)(1) (1970), and ordered the employer to cease and desist from such unlawful conduct and provide specific affirmative relief including back pay.
