Plaintiff sued defendants for damages alleged to have been sustained by her because of certain acts committed by defendants pursuant to a conspiracy to libel her, to ruin her reputation as an individual and as a court reporter, and to deprive her of a livelihood. The case was tried before the court and a jury and at the conclusion of plaintiff’s evidence, upon defendants’ motion, the jury were directed to find a verdict for defendants as to the libel charges.
