The County of Greene claimed from Center Township the sum of $42,674.31 under the following circumstances : As a result of a resolution passed on February 5, 1919,"the township supervisors presented their petition to the county commissioners in which they set forth that a certain highway was in need of reconstruction and, as the county was contemplating taking over and improving this road, the supervisors by resolution agreed for and on behalf of Center Township to provide for the payment of and to pay to the County of Greene of the one-half of the total expense…
