Quinn, Chief Judge:

The accused pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter, in violation of Article 119, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC § 919, before a general court-martial convened in Da-Nang, Republic of Vietnam. He was duly convicted and sentenced to dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for eight years, and accessory punishments. The convening authority approved the findings of guilty and the sentence, but the board of review reduced the confinement to five years, and changed the dishonorable discharge to a bad-conduct discharge.
