Plaintiffs Kevin and Kimberly Buote brought suit against defendants Verizon New England (“Verizon”) and Bell Atlantic Communications (collectively, “Bell Atlantic”) on November 2, 2000 in Vermont State Court. Bell Atlantic subsequently removed the case to this court.
