The Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (“the Attorney General” or “the Commonwealth”) has brought this action alleging that the defendants Option One Mortgage Corp. (“Option One”) and H&R Block Mortgage Corp. (“H&R Mortgage”), through their issuance of subprime loans to Massachusetts borrowers, violated G.L.c. 93A by engaging in unfair and deceptive acts and practices, and G.L.c. 15IB, §4(3B) by discriminating against black and Latino borrowers.
