Appellants, the trustees of several employee benefit trust funds, appeal from the district court’s dismissal of their action against appellees, William J. Grimm, and his wife, Carolyn Grimm (the Grimms). In their action, tried without a jury, appellants sought to recover delinquent contributions to the trust funds allegedly required by collective bargaining agreements, along with liquidated damages, interest, attorney’s fees, and costs.
