BLUMENFELD, Senior District Judge.
The Secretary of Labor has brought this action against the Hartford Fire Insurance Company (“the Hartford”) under the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, 29 U.S.C. §§ 621-34. The complaint alleges that the Hartford has willfully violated the Act by terminating, demoting, failing to promote, or otherwise discriminating against 72 of its employees because of their age. 29 U.S.C. § 623(a)(1).
