The order granting a rehearing of this case was prompted by the earnest and persuasive petition for a rehearing after decision by the district court of appeal. Here, as in the court of appeal, a reversal' was sought primarily upon the contention that the evidence adduced in. support of the people’s case was so inherently improbable as to be unworthy of belief, and, therefore, insufficient to support the jury’s verdict of guilty.
