HILL, Justice.

Appellant Feliz Alicea (Alicea) seeks review of his convictions on six counts for committing sex crimes on children. Alicea contends that the trial court erred in failing to hold a pretrial hearing to determine if the children had sufficient memory to be considered competent to testify.
