Divine Allah, proceeding pro se, commenced this action pursuant to section 1983 of Title 42 of the United States Code (“section 1983”) against defendants Glenn Goord, Commissioner of the Department of Correctional Services, William Phillips, Superintendent of Green Haven Correctional Facility (“Green Haven”), Carl Koenigsmann, Medical Director at Green Haven, John Ferguson and John Simmons, Correctional Officers, and the Department of Correctional Services (“DOCS”).
