This is an action by the plaintiff Norman M. Iverson, doing business as Western Motels and Investments, to recover a commission of seventeen thousand dollars in connection with an agreement for the exchange of propperties between Guy E. Peterman and his wife, and A. J. Pomatto and his wife. The Petermans will hereinafter be referred to as Peterman (also respondent) and the Pomattos as Pomatto.

Peterman owned a motel in Seattle and Pomatto owned the Town House Motel in Bakersfield, California. The parties were interested in exchanging their respective properties, and the plaintiff acted as…
