In this appeal, we are asked to decide whether the trial court abused its discretion in awarding substantial attorney’s fees under General Statutes § 52-571c (b) 1 to plaintiffs who recovered only nominal damages. The defendants, Wilfred Chaisson and Michelle Chaisson, appeal from the judgment of the trial court awarding to the plaintiffs Tarvis Simms and Christopher Johnson 2 attorney’s fees pursuant to § 52-571c (b).
