Samuel and Jessie Kenney, husband and wife, were members of the First Presbyterian Church of the city of Seattle, in which city they resided from 1865 until the death of the husband in 1896 and the death of the wife in 1900. Mr. and Mrs. Kenney hoped and planned to establish a home for aged people. Samuel Kenney left his property to his wife with the request that it be used for that purpose.
