This action was instituted by the plaintiff to recover from the defendants the sum of $2,650 on six promissory notes executed by the defendants to the Rumely Products Company on August 17, 1924, for the purchase price of a steam tractor engine, a grain separator with attachments, and an Oliver six-bottom gang plow. These notes were secured by a purchase price chattel mortgage on the equipment sold and delivered to the defendants. Upon default in payment of the notes, under power of sale contained in the mortgage, the property was sold for the net sum of $970, which was by the plaintiffs…
