Prior to 1975 Uniform Commercial Code § 2-318 authorized an action by one injured in person by breach of warranty but limited a seller’s warranty liability to “his buyer,” members of the buyer’s family or household and guests in the buyer’s home. As thus written the provision *413required both vertical and horizontal privity. Vertically the warranty ran only from the seller to the immediate buyer from him; horizontally it included not only the buyer but his family, household and guests.
The amendment made by chapter 774 of the Laws of 1975 removed the words “who is in the family or household of…
