The defendant, Curtis Bowman, appeals directly to this court pursuant to General Statutes § 51-199 (b) (3) 1 from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of one count each of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a and arson in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-112 (a) (1) (B), and two counts of tampering with physical evidence in violation of General Statutes § 53a-155 (a) (1).
