The defendant contends that he was denied his Sixth Amendment right of confrontation and deprived of due pro*699cess when the trial court admitted into evidence his codefendant’s statement which inculpated him in the crimes charged. He further argues that the error cannot be deemed harmless and requires reversal of his judgment of conviction. We disagree.
