In a three-count indictment defendant was accused of (1) murder in the second degree by evincing a depraved indifference to human life, (2) murder in the second degree in the furtherance of the crime of robbery, and (3) robbery in the first degree by forcibly stealing currency and in the course of which he stabbed the victim with a deadly weapon.
