The petitioner was originally tried and convicted on four separate charges of violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, for which he was sentenced to a bad-conduct discharge, partial forfeitures, and confinement at hard labor for six months. Intermediate re*438viewing authorities, however, disapproved and dismissed three of the charges and reduced the sentence.
