Duncan, Judge:
The accused was inducted into the United States Army on October 11, 1968. At all times while in the Army, Lenox was deeply concerned with his adjustment to the service and its mission. He came to believe that he could not in conscience continue to participate in what he described as a “system that uses the impersonal destruction of people as a method of obtaining its objectives.” He stated that his belief became crystallized during the latter part of his training at Fort Gordon.
