Quinn, Chief Judge:

A general court-martial in Germany convicted the accused of the rape of his six-year-old stepdaughter and of assault with a means likely to produce grievous bodily harm, in violation of Articles 120 and 128, respectively, of the Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 USC §§ 920, 928. It sentenced him to a dishonorable discharge, confinement at hard labor for life and accessory penalties.
