HIGHERS, Judge.

This is an appeal from the Chancery Court at Madison County in a breach of contract action. The trial court, sitting without a jury, granted judgment for plaintiff and awarded damages in the amount of $177,752.27 plus prejudgment interest.

On or about June 15, 1981, plaintiff, Teague Brothers, Inc., and defendant, Martin & Bayley, Inc., entered into a contract for the sale to defendant by plaintiff of all fixtures, equipment, furniture (collectively referred to as equipment), and inventory at four convenience stores in Jackson, Henderson, Selmer, and Savannah, Tennessee.
