BINGHAM, Circuit Judge.
These proceedings are petitions for writs of habeas corpus, brought in the District Court for the District of Massachusetts, which were heard on their merits, and in each of which an order of dismissal was entered. At the time of entering. the order the judge of the District Court stated to the petitioners that he would not allow an appeal in any of the cases, either to the United States Supreme Court or to the Circuit Court of Appeals, as he regarded the petitions as without merit.
