This case involves a dispute between three insurance companies arising out of a tragic accident at one of Commonwealth Edison’s (“ComEd”) nuclear power plants. Gerald Vance, a pipefitter and welder, was severely injured while working at the power plant and secured a $744,497.83 personal injury judgment (“the Vance judgment”) against ComEd.
