PER CURIAM: *

Elmer Cox, a former employee of the Nueces County Sheriffs Department, brought suit pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 1983 against Jim Kaelin, the Sheriff of Nueces County, Texas, asserting that Kaelin violated his First Amendment rights. Cox alleges that Kaelin retaliated against him in response to his support for Kaelin’s opponent in the 2012 race for Nueces County Sheriff and his involvement in the political process, in violation of his First Amendment rights to free speech and association.
