This controversy rises from a petition filed by Jack C. Robinson, doing business as Robinson Freight Lines, before the Railroad & Public Utilities Commission, to secure certificates of convenience and necessity to license freight haulage over 8 routes of public highways in Tennessee. The petition was resisted by all common carriers already having certificates of convenience and necessity, covering the routes specified in Robinson’s petition.
