ADKINS, Judge.

The Attorney Grievance Commission (AGC), acting through Bar Counsel, charged Robin K.A. Ficker (Ficker) with violations of the Code of Professional Responsibility (for acts that occurred on or before 31 December 1986) and of the Rules of Professional Conduct (for acts that occurred thereafter). 1 Pursuant to Maryland Rule BV9 b, we referred the matter to Judge Peter Messitte of the Circuit Court for Montgomery County to make findings of fact and conclusions of law.
