Plaintiff Regent Lighting Corporation (“Regent”) filed this action against Defendants American Lighting Concept, Inc. (“American”) and Grandlite International Corporation (“Grandlite”), alleging violations of the Lanham Act, 15 U.S.C. § 1125(a), the North Carolina Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), N.C.Gen.Stat. § 75D-1 et seq., and North Carolina’s unfair and deceptive trade practices statute, N.C.Gen.Stat. § 75-1.1, arising out of Defendants’ marketing and sale of the MV-175 mercury vapor security light (“MV-175”).
