Carl and Vickie Bizzle appeal from the district court’s1 judgment in favor of McKesson Corporation and Acorn Development Companies, Inc. We affirm.

I. BACKGROUND

On November 3, 1987, Carl Bizzle (hereinafter “Carl”) injured his back while at work. As a result of his injury, he underwent surgery for a ruptured disc. After the hospital discharged Carl, his sister purchased (with Carl’s money) a walking cane from Four Rivers Home Care.
