This matter comes before the court on cross-motions for summary judgment in a case involving the termination by plaintiff General Motors Corporation (hereinafter “GMC”) of the heavy duty truck line of defendant Gallo GMC Truck Sales (hereinafter “Gallo”). The crucial issue in the case is whether an agreement between a manufacturer and a dealer authorizing the dealer to sell and service a specific class of trucks constitutes a separate franchise agreement.
