Facts of Case

This case involves the proper criteria for the award of attorneys' fees under the State of Washington's freedom of information act.

The Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) brought an action against the University of Washington (University) under the state freedom of information section of this State's public disclosure law, RCW 42.17.250-.340 (the act).
