This suit was brought to recover $5,657.12, being the amount of certain storage charges paid under protest by the appellant upon a large quantity of hint pebbles belonging to it, and which it shipped by boat from 'Newfoundland to the covered pier of the Philadelphia and Eeading Eailroad Company in Philadelphia, in pursuance of an arrangement with the respondent, a railroad company with whose lines the Philadelphia and Eeading Eailroad Company’s lines connected, whereby the respondent had agreed that if appellant would make such shipment and…
