The Nashville Railway & Light Company, a public service corporation, has appealed in the nature of a writ of error from a judgment rendered against it in each of these two cases, which were tried together before the circuit judge and jury. In the suit of W. Mj. Lantrip there was a verdict for $2000, but upon the motion for new trial the circuit judge suggested a remittitur of $500, which was accepted under protest, and judgment was rendered in his favor for $1500.
