A general court-martial convicted the appellant of rape (two specifications), sodomy (two specifications), assault, and adultery (three specifications), in violation of Articles 120, 125, 128, and 134, Uniform Code of Military Justice, 10 U.S.C. §§ 920, 925, 928, and 934 [hereinafter UCMJ]. On 1 May 1996, the members sentenced the appellant to a dishonorable discharge, confinement for ten years, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and reduction to Private E1.
