Plaintiff Bruce Johnson brings this employment discrimination action pursuant to 42 U.S.C. § 2000(e), et seq. (“Title VII”), and § 42 U.S.C. § 1981(a), against his former employer, the Department of Corrections of the State of Connecticut (“DOC”). The defendant moves for summary judgment, claiming that there is no issue of material fact concerning the circumstances of Johnson’s termination and that it is entitled to judgment as a matter of law.
