This is an F.E.L.A. case.

Charles L. Allen (Allen or appellee) brought suit for injuries suffered in the course of his employment with Southern Pacific Transportation Company (Southern Pacific or appellant). The case is governed by the Federal Employers’ Liability Act. 45 U.S.C. § 51 et seq. (1972).
