Appellees, plaintiffs below, obtained a general verdict and judgment thereon in an action for damages submitted to the jury on theories of deceit and negligent misrepresentation. It was claimed by the appellees that the corporate appellant’s agent represented that it would enter into a real estate development joint venture with the appellees to which the corporate appellant would furnish the financing.
