On September 4, 1997, plaintiff-appellant, Harold F. Braithwaite (“plaintiff’ or “Braithwaite”), filed a complaint against his employer, The Timken Company (“Timken”), and several of its employees. Braithwaite alleged that defendants, by their actions which resulted in the termination of his employment, violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e, the Civil Rights Act of 1991 and the Civil Rights Act of 1866, 42 U.S.C. §§ 1981, 1985(a), and 1988.
