The defendants in this case, who are radiation oncology service providers, obtained a writ of mandamus from the district court, compelling the United States (the Health Care Financing Administration (“HCFA”)) and its administering contract carriers to proceed promptly with the administrative process established for processing providers’ Medicare Part B reimbursements.
