On June 20, 1923, the LaG-range Banking and Trust Company filed two suits in the superior court of Troup County: (1) a suit on promissory notes against the Spinks Hardware Company, a corporation, as maker, and J. W. Spinks, as indorserand (2) thereafter, on the same day, an equitable petition praying for the cancellation of a deed executed by Spinks to his wife, and for an injunction.
