OAKES, Circuit Judge:
This appeal is from a judgment of conviction on three counts of perjury, 18 U.S.C. § 1621, resulting in appellant’s receiving a suspended 5-year sentence and a $2,000 fine on each count. The principal claim presented is that appellant was denied a speedy trial, under the sixth amendment and the Second Circuit Rules Regarding Prompt Disposition of Criminal Cases (hereinafter the “Second Circuit Rules”).
