HART,

defendant was convicted in the superior court of Shasta County of the crime of contributing to the dependency of an alleged dependent child, and appeals to this court from the judgment and. the order denying him a new trial.

The information upon which he was tried and convicted reads as follows That on or about the fourteenth day of June, 1915, at the town of Cottonwood, in the said county of Shasta, state of California, one Josephine Fa Mar, then and there a female minor child, under the age of eighteen years, to wit; of the age of fifteen years, was then and there a female dependent…
