In an information filed by the district attorney of Los Angeles County, appellant was charged with the crime of “contributing to delinquency” (of a minor), a misdemeanor, in violation of section 702 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, in that he ‘ ‘ did willfully and unlawfully furnish, deliver and sell to and by acts, encourage the possession of pentobarbital, a derivative of barbital, by . . . and . . ., minors under the age of 21 years, . . . without first receiving or requiring an order or prescription of a physician or other person authorized to issue the same, contrary to section 347%…
