Plaintiff brought suit against defendant to recover damages for being struck by a motor vehicle belonging to defendant, driven by its employee. The accident happened on Linwood avenue, between Grand boulevard and Lothrop avenue. Plaintiff, who operated a garage and oil business on the east side of Linwood avenue, between Grand boulevard and Lothrop avenue, was, immediately prior to the accident, standing outside his place of business.
