GREENE, Judge.

Plaintiff appeals from an order entered 6 November 1990, granting defendants’ motion for judgment on the pleadings, N.C.G.S. § 1A-1, Rule 12(c) (1990), and imposing sanctions against plaintiff in the amount of defendants’ attorney’s fees pursuant to N.C.G.S. § 1A-1, Rule 11 (1990).

Plaintiff instituted this action against defendants Taylor Products, Inc., National Lease Services, Inc., Ronald Taylor, and Oren Taylor on 26 February 1990 seeking damages for breach of an “Agreement of Sale of Stock/Assets” pursuant to which defendants agreed to purchase plaintiff’s interest in…
