This is an action to recover damages for an alleged breach of a contract for the furnishing of certain diagrams and material to be used in the construction of a public school building *39in the city of Helena. Plaintiff in his complaint alleges that he is an engineer, skilled in the art and practice of preparing diagrams and plans for the erection of buildings, more especially for that portion of building construction in which steel is used for concrete reinforcement; that on the seventh day of July, 1921, at Helena, he made and submitted to the defendant a proposal in writing for the furnishing…
