Petitioner was convicted in the superior court of the county of Los Angeles for a violation of the statute known as the Wright Act (Stats. 1921, p. 79) (a high misdemeanor). He seeks his discharge through habeas corpus upon the ground that jurisdiction of said offense has been divested out of the superior court and invested exclusively in the municipal courts of said county.
